Notes: This fic is for sallyjesserofl, for being endlessly of quality. Ugh I owed you this ages ago forgive me. This is a bit smooshy and flowerier than I usually write, whups. Though it’s still in present tense - sorry if you’re not a fan of present tense, dudes. Takes place between the Great Sloppening of 2x03 and the Great Eloping of 2x07. Title from the song “Beneath Your Tree”, by The Bowerbirds.
So before I go on Thanksgiving-hiatus, I scrawled out this little thing

Pairing: Thomas/the beauty that was everything before the final scenes of episode 2x02
Notes: What could have been if Julian Fellowes didn’t hate everything I loved. For how short this is, it was rather hard to get back into the swing of writing again. Huzzah for me, maybe? This is smooshy as hell, by the way, if you hadn’t already realized from the fact that the title is from a Feist song. God help me.
